1812 Farm in Bristol will be Valentine’s Weekend Wedding Host

Romance is certainly in the air. This weekend we will be creating bouquets and centerpieces with a Valentine theme for a wedding to be held at the 1812 Farm in Bristol. Our bride has chosen flowers in a red hues for her bouquet. The centerpieces will feature floating candles and red and white tulips.

Floating candles are a versatile component in centerpiece design. Orchids or tulips can be submerged in water for a dramatic affect or the candles can be floated in vases and placed around a vase of flowers. There are so many possibilities.

Wedding in Whitefield

I thought it would be fun to revisit this day. This wedding took place in Whitefield. The wedding of Addie and Jeremy was held in a country church . These bridesmaids are waiting to take their place in the ceremony. I love the soft color of these bouquets against the black and white dresses. This was a fun combination. They are beautiful in black and white.

cetified wedding consultants

Leeanne Mank, Cheryl Johnson and Shelley Pease completed training to be certified wedding consultants. They will be available along with Laura McNelly to meet with brides to help them plan for that special day. All of the staff here at Shelley’s Flowers are wedding consultants. Whitehall Inn Reception with a Special Touch

We love it here at Shelley’s Flowers when we can work with someone who wants to add something special to the bouquets and centerpieces. Sometimes a bride will add a vintage brooch to her bouquet wrap for example.

Recently we were asked to do centerpieces for a rehearsal dinner at the Whitehall Inn in Camden. We did the flowers as well in beautiful fall hues, rich burgundies, oranges, and rust.

The rehearsal dinner centerpieces complimented the bouquets and were designed in Mason jars. The Groom’s mother prepared vintage spoons stamped with sayings to convey good wishes. This simple touch added so much to an already beautiful display.

White hydrangeas and green cymbidium orchids pair up in this bouquet to make a stunning elegant showing. The Groom is not left out, as he is sporting an orchid as well. This is a great summery bouquet but colored hydrangeas would work as well.

Debi Cyr Braun shared this with us. “Thank you so much for such a wonderful job with my flowers! Everyone at the wedding thought they were absolutely beautiful.” Debi, we thank you for the kind words and for sharing these pictures with us. Debi and David were married at Damariscotta Lake Farm. The bouquets were designed with peonies, hydrangea , garden roses and stock. We thought the pastel shades were lovely.
